In 1743 the building of Redoute Ballestras allowed the creation of this village and now houses the museum Albert DUBOUT humorous.It was in 1922 that the famous cartoonist discovered Palavas-Les-Flots and developed a passion for its tradition, its fishermen, its beaches and its steam train. With sharp styling Albert DUBOUT offers a generous humor and pencil drawings, to peer into every detail, trigger fits of laughter memorable.
Slightly away from the beaches, Palavas-Les-Flots also preserves a secret world where nature keeps its rights. Like the birds, stop … spend a few hours among the fauna and flora of the ponds: in an exceptional location, near the Camargue, a guide reveals the peculiarities of Mediterranean plants and makes you discover migratory birds .

Palavas-Les-Flots also knew admirably succeed in their 3rd millémaire with a superb achievement: the Lighthouse of the Mediterranean. The old water tower, located in the village, was rehabilitated in the Congress Centre, Municipal Tourist Office, promenade deck and revolving restaurant.
